On Monday we arrived in San Francisco! And we were screaming for what seemed like a good half hour as we got to the Golden Gate Bridge, after we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, as we got to Baker Bridge, saw parents and family, and JUMPING IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN!
And it was COLD!!! It feels great to be done, but it hasn’t really sunk in that the past 10 weeks actually happened. At some point in the future, I’ll try to figure out a good way to share photos from the trip, but until then here’s a few photos from our Pacific wheel dip.

Today was our final build day here in Yuba City, CA. We worked with the local Habitat for Humanity’s restore and spent the day moving furniture from their storage units to their restore location. As always, we had a ton of fun while getting our work done. We definitely got much better at figuring out how to pack a moving truck after our first load.
A few highlights of the day:
Our disco (bike lights) rave (iPhone playing trance) in a uhaul!
Watching the relay dolly race where the guys pushed each other on the furniture dollies (with a little bit of cheating from the “winning”/disqualified team).
Our assembly line in which each person lifted over 2000 pounds (granted in 16 pound increments).
Demolishing a 7 buck pizza buffet for lunch.
Napping in a storage unit (after napping in a uhaul).
But, in all seriousness, we did get quite a bit of work done! Can’t believe there’s only three days left – this summer has been amazing.

With a little bit of a twist. Not really a good one, bit it’s somewhat unique, I guess.

Providence to San Francisco route loves us, the southern route. And they chalked it to show us.

And we’re biking on it! I do, however, feel pretty qualified to say that it is most definitely not the most desolate road in America (the roads to and from Mosquero, NM definitely had fewer cars).
Yesterday, the girls wore roller derby outfits (read all about it on the bike and build journal entry I wrote) and some of us rode with a group of bikers marketing for 42 under – a vodka from Bacardi.
All in all, the days have been fun and I’m really excited to be in California in a few days!
